In 2017, Belltable:Connect commissioned Limerick theatre artist, Joanne Ryan to write In Two Minds, an ambitious, affecting new work that looks at the realities of living with bipolar disorder. Inspired by Joanne’s experiences of her mother’s bipolar diagnosis, and informed by a series of workshops with other affected families and individuals, the play presents a compelling and very human insight into the charms and challenges of a fascinating and commonly misunderstood condition.
Development on the project continues this year thanks to the generous support of The Arts Council, Limerick City and County Council, The JP McManus Foundation and Fishamble Theatre Company’s New Play Clinic.
